Liora Ofer

CBOD

Ms. Liora Ofer was born in Haifa and at a young age began working alongside her father, the late Yuli Ofer, founder of Ofer Investments, Melisron’s controlling company. Over the years Ms. Ofer has filled various executive roles in the group and for many years served as a director of Mizrahi-Tefahot Bank (which was controlled by Ofer Investments until 2018). Since 2008, Ms. Ofer has served as the Chair of Melisron’s board of directors and is the Company’s controlling shareholder (through Ofer Investments, which is wholly owned by Ms. Ofer).

As CBOD, Ms. Ofer led strategic moves that created growth for Melisron and made it Israel’s largest mall owner and management company. These transactions included the acquisition of Ramat Aviv Mall, and the acquisition of British Israel, with the merger of British Israel’s 18 malls into Melisron.

In 2022, as part of its growth strategy, which includes appreciation of its core business and diversification of its property portfolio by entering into new segments of the real estate sector, Melisron announced its entry into the residential real estate market and its acquisition of 50% of Aviv Yizum, a member of the Aviv Group, which specializes in residential projects and urban renewal.

By implementing its strategy, skillfully led by Ms. Ofer, the Company’s CBOD, alongside its extensive business development projects, Melisron has become a major leader in Israel’s property market.

In addition to her position as CBOD of Melisron and owner of Ofer Investments, Ms. Ofer also serves as Chair of the Friends of Reichman University and CBOD of the Suzanne Dalal Center in Neveh Tzedek. In the past, Ms. Ofer served as Chair of the Friends of the Cameri Theater for 15 years. In 2023, she was awarded an honorary doctorate degree from Reichman University.
