Yehuda “Yuli” Ofer (1924-2011) was born in Romania and immigrated to Israel in 1930 when he was only six years old. In the middle 50s, he founded Ofer Properties and the Mediterranean shipping company, which in 1960 became an international company and later expanded to transport fuel, phosphates and sailing.
Mr. Ofer specialized in the real estate business and contributed greatly to the development of the city he lived in, Hertzeliya. In 1989 he founded Melisron, which owned the Kiryon Mall in Kiryat Bialik and led it to be the leading mall and real estate company in Israel.
